Quick Uke Build – Part V
The bindings are prepared from ebony and boxwood. On a Uke the bindings are quite thin so the ebony is planed to 1.5mm and cleaned up to an even thickness through a binding trimmer.
The binding channel is cut with a router to the exact height and depth and the bindings glued in place.
Once the binding are cleaned up and the body sanded to it’s near final finish attention can be turned to the neck and the dovetail joint on the body.
