Quick Uke Build – Part VII

The fingerboard is cut from ebony and slotted. The neck is roughed out to the required taper and the headstock shaped.

Once the fret slots are cut and the taper is cut on the fingerboard fret markers can be installed. In this case they are simple Mother of Pearl dots.

The fingerboard can then be glued to the neck and body.

All that remains to do is to cut and fit the bridge and install the tuners. A quick set up and the Uke is ready to go following a few coats of Tru oil.
