“Aqua P” Build – Part V
The fingerboard used here is rosewood and the first task is to thickness it to 6mm.
The fret slots are cut and the inlays are recessed into the board.
Finally the inlayed board is radiused to 12″ and the taper cut to match the neck taper minus the binding width.
The board is then glued to the neck along the centre line with the truss rod installed and the binding fixed in place. The rough shaping of the neck and fingerboard can then be done as one piece.
